But, if you’re looking for something a little more pleasant to watch than the typical dating show that just focuses on dating hornet log in struggles, then this is the one. Plus, some of these weddings are actually gorgeous and will make you start planning out your own, years in advance. Okay, jokes aside about all these dating shows – this is genuinely one of the most light-hearted, wholesome, cute reality series I have ever watched.

You will adore this Netflix series if you are the type of person who enjoys spying on first dates at restaurants. A new hopeful single is followed on five different dates in each episode. We can’t deny that binge-watching reality dating shows can become our guilty pleasure despite being in a relationship or not. Thanks to streaming platforms, we now have the chance to watch a larger range of individuals discover love in unusual ways. It is wonderful to see diversity in dating programs these days and concepts more creative than simply letting a man choose among several beautiful women.

At this strange time in the world, it’s nice to have something to look forward to, even if it’s a Netflix dating show. There’s even a Brazilian version of this series out now, too, so that proves how popular it was. There hasn’t been a new season since 2020, but there are two seasons to watch and enjoy right now. Another original on Netflix, Love is Blind follows 30 attractive singles from Atlanta, who are dropped into a blind-dating facility, with the men living on one side and the women on the other. The only contact they have with each other is through pods, two rooms filled with plush sofas, and separated by an opaque glass wall. The masterstroke of Dating Around, though, is that all these dates are chopped up and spliced together, so they appear to unfold concurrently.
But if you want something a little more enjoyable to watch than the standard dating show that only highlights relationship difficulties, this is it. In the first seven seasons the matches were boy and girl but in season 8 the gender doesn’t matter to match with your compatible partner. Season 8 which is the last season aired in 2019 and every season consists of about 11 to 12 episodes. Dating Around could be one of the best reality tv shows on Netflix for people who like to watch some ‘first dates’.

Reality dating shows often draw from the aesthetics of beauty contests and sports, but this one is produced like prestige television, filming dates as if they were scenes between character actors. A friend who watched the new season at the same time I did texted me that the main daters are a little less memorable this season, and I agree.
